Noctiluca SA is a technology company based in Toruń, Poland, and listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, specializing in advanced photonic compounds for OLED displays and lighting solutions. The company develops innovative 3rd, 4th, and 5th-generation OLED emitters. Besides commercializing its own technologies, Noctiluca also provides chemical materials for the photonics market and conducts R&D projects as a Chemical Contract Research Organization focused on high-performance materials.
Challenge:
One of the key challenges for Noctiluca was accelerating the development and commercialization of next-generation OLED emitter materials while meeting the increasing efficiency and sustainability requirements of the global display industry.
Solution:
The project focuses on advancing Noctiluca’s proprietary lithium-free EIL material (NCEIL-4) to meet the rigorous demands of the automotive OLED lighting and display market. This material offers a sustainable, rare-earth-free alternative to industry standards, significantly improving the operational lifetime and thermal stability of blue OLED pixels. To ensure seamless commercial integration with automotive partners, the initiative includes implementing a comprehensive ISO-compliant quality management framework. Ultimately, the project aims to strengthen the European supply chain for high-performance photonic materials while supporting global sustainability goals.
