Funded solution: MB Lazerines Fab Tech
About the company:
Laserfab is a Lithuanian high-tech SME specializing in laser material processing, photonics-based manufacturing, and advanced functional surface fabrication technologies. The company develops laser-enabled solutions for flexible electronics, sensing systems, and sustainable manufacturing applications.
Challenge:
Developing lightweight, self-powered, and easily integrable sensing systems for next-generation automotive and flexible electronics applications.
Solution:
The funded project focuses on integrating laser induced selective metallization technology with Laser-Induced Graphene (LIG) sensing structures on flexible polymer substrates. The solution enables direct fabrication of conductive circuitry and sensing elements without conventional PCB manufacturing or soldering. The project aims to develop lightweight, wireless, and potentially self-powered sensing nodes suitable for automotive and smart electronics applications. In addition, the approach supports more sustainable electronics manufacturing through reduced material usage and simplified integration processes.
