PhotonQBoost Launches Open Call II to Support European SMEs

PhotonQBoost is pleased to announce the launch of its Second Open Call (OC2-2025), inviting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from across Europe to apply for financial and advisory support to boost innovation in Photonics and Quantum technologies.

With a total budget of €728,000, the Open Call aims to strengthen the resilience, sustainability, and competitiveness of European SMEs by supporting the development and adoption of next-generation photonics and quantum solutions. Eligible SMEs can apply for one or multiple grants, with a total maximum support of up to €50,000 per organisation.


Funding Opportunities Available

SMEs may apply for one or more of the following grants:

🔹 Solutions Grant – Up to €40,000

For SMEs developing innovative photonics and/or quantum solutions (TRL 4–8) addressing industrial challenges in advanced manufacturing, agrifood, life sciences, mobility, or digital technologies.

🔹 Trainings & Services Grant – Up to €10,000

Funding for external training or specialised services supporting an SME’s sustainability, business development, or technology adoption.

🔹 Missions Grant – €610 (CZ) or €830 (DE)

Support to join one or both PhotonQBoost Matching Missions in 2026, offering cross-border collaboration, networking, and ecosystem engagement.


Information Sessions

Two online Info Days will present the call structure, requirements, and application process:

  • First Info Day: 9 December 2025 at 11:00 CET

  • Second Info Day: 8 January 2026 at 11:00 CET
