PhotonQBoost Consortium and Review Meeting Marks Successful Completion of Project Period 1
On 3–4 February, the PhotonQBoost consortium gathered for its consortium and review meeting, marking a key milestone as the project concluded its first implementation period and prepared to enter the next phase. The two-day meeting brought together consortium partners, project officers, and an external expert to reflect on progress, assess outcomes, and align on priorities for the future.
Reflecting on Progress and Lessons Learned
The first day focused on a comprehensive internal consortium meeting. During the morning session, partners reviewed the activities carried out during the first year across all work packages. This included highlighting major achievements, discussing challenges encountered, and identifying areas where processes and approaches can be further strengthened. The open and constructive discussions enabled the consortium to define concrete mitigation strategies and capture important lessons learned, ensuring continuous improvement in project execution.
In the afternoon, the focus shifted towards forward planning. Partners worked collaboratively to define priorities, upcoming actions, and implementation strategies for the second project period. By building on the experience gained during the first year, the consortium aims to further enhance the project’s effectiveness and maximize its impact within the European photonics and quantum innovation ecosystem.
Successful First Project Review
The second day was dedicated to the project’s first official review meeting, attended by the project officers and an external expert evaluator. During this session, all Work Package leaders presented their progress, achievements, and contributions over the past year.
The review meeting was highly successful, with very positive feedback received from the project officers and the external expert. The evaluation recognized the consortium’s strong progress, effective collaboration, and commitment to delivering the project’s objectives. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the project officers and the external expert for their valuable feedback, constructive recommendations, and continued support. Their insights and guidance are instrumental in helping us further strengthen the project’s implementation and ensure its impact is maximized.
Looking Ahead
The successful completion of the first project period and the positive outcome of the review provide a strong foundation for the next phase of PhotonQBoost. The consortium remains committed to supporting innovation, strengthening Europe’s photonics and quantum ecosystem, and enabling SMEs and startups to accelerate their development and market readiness.
We would like to thank all consortium partners for their dedication, transparency, and excellent collaboration. We look forward to an exciting and productive second project period.
