PhotonQBoost Matching Mission in Poland: Focus on Agrifood & Biotech

October 21, 2025 October 23, 2025

We are happy to announce our 1st PhotonQBoost Matching Missions to Poland!

This event aims to foster collaborations between actors in Photonics & Quantum Technology and those of the Polish Agrifood & Biotech ecosystem.

📅 Dates: 21–23 October 2025
📍 Location: Warsaw, Poland

What Companies Say

The program was highly valuable, providing the opportunity to connect with companies working in related fields and explore potential collaboration opportunities. During the mission, we also visited a leading research institute and a sensor manufacturing plant, both offering valuable insights into emerging capabilities and industry trends. The overall experience expanded my network and deepened my understanding of current developments in photonics-related agrifood and biotech sectors.

Dr. Fatih Ömrüuzun
Visratek (Finland)
The PhotonQBoost Poland was genuinely useful for us. We had the chance to meet relevant photonics companies and research groups face to face. The meetings opened real collaboration discussions and gave us a clearer view of how we can position our technology within the European ecosystem and how we contribute to these technologies.

The PhotonQBoost Matching Mission to Poland was an inspiring and genuinely valuable experience for INSIGMA Engineering. It was a great opportunity for us to expand our European network. Beyond the meetings, it helped us to build relationships that have continued well after the event. We have stayed in touch with several experts we met there, and the follow-up conversations have been even more productive than we initially expected. Initiatives like PhotonQBoost truly help deep-tech companies connect, grow, and move faster toward real impact.

Why come?

Photonics in Poland. Photonics is a thriving sector in the country, with 6 major academic hubs of more than 10 universities, 6 research institutes, and around 100 companies. Europe is the top export destination of the Polish photonics industry. Technological expertise lies mainly (but not only!) in

  • Materials (for OLED and PV, quantum dits, III-V, GaN, graphene and photonics crystals, soft glasses);
  • Special optical fibres;
  • PIC design and nanoprint systems;
  • Quantum cascade laser, femtosecond lasers;
  • Special application optics and thin film coatings

Agrifood in Poland. The Polish agrifood sector is considerable: More than 1,200 companies were exporting 44% of their production in 2020, a share that keeps increasing. The sector represents 26% of the industry production in Poland and is quick to take photonics innovations up for production, quality control and disinfection.

What will you get from the event

Strategic exposure: Gain direct access to key players in the innovation ecosystem and explore how your technologies can contribute to agrifood and biotech transformation.

Networking and visibility: Present your organisation, discover collaboration opportunities, and position yourself for upcoming PhotonQBoost funding calls.

Expert guidance and follow-up: During and after the mission, selected SMEs may access further tailored support services from PhotonQBoost.

Access to future funding opportunities: Learn about the relevant funding opportunities and build your proposal with the present partners.
